Mozambique · copper trading hub
Mozambique is mainly a transit country for copper, with the ports of Beira, Nacala and Maputo serving Zambia, the DRC, Zimbabwe and Malawi. On Copper Supply you can post a requirement or an offer for free and deal only with ID-checked members. Check SKRs and shipping papers with the document check before you pay.
Mozambique produces little copper of its own. Its role is as a coast for landlocked neighbours. Copper from Zambia and the DRC can reach the Indian Ocean through Beira, Nacala or Maputo, as an alternative to Dar es Salaam or Durban.
Most deals are between the producer or its trader and an overseas buyer. A local seller in Beira is usually a trader, agent or logistics company, not the owner of the copper. Ask who holds title.
Transit copper moves under Mozambican customs control and carries the export and origin papers of the producing country. The bill of lading is issued at the port of loading. Ask for the truck or wagon records that link the lot to its origin papers.
For any local minerals, check the rules with MIREME and the national mining institute.
If you buy or sell copper that moves through Beira or Nacala, post the port in your listing. Copper Supply sends it to members who trade that product.
Copper Supply never holds trade money and takes no commission on deals. Before you deal with anyone, search the members-only scam list.

Mozambique produces little copper of its own. Most copper handled there is in transit from Zambia, the DRC and Zimbabwe through the ports of Beira, Nacala and Maputo.
Transit copper carries the export and origin papers of the country where it was produced, plus Mozambican transit customs papers and, once loaded, a bill of lading. Confirm the exact requirements with your clearing agent or the customs authority.
It depends on where the copper starts, where it is going, and current congestion and freight rates. Beira and Nacala can be good alternatives when Dar es Salaam or Durban are busy. Agree the port and the Incoterm in the contract.
Ask for the warehouse name, confirm the receipt with the warehouse yourself, and send an independent inspector to see and weigh the lot. Never pay a release or demurrage fee before this.
