Millberry copper scrap · verified buyers
Millberry buyers are copper refineries, rod and wire mills, brass mills and scrap traders, with large demand in India, China, South East Asia, South Korea and Japan. They pay close to the LME for clean bare bright wire after inspection. On Copper Supply you can post a free selling offer, and members who buy copper scrap are told about it within minutes.
India is one of the largest importers of copper scrap. China imports only scrap that meets its national standard for recycled copper raw materials, so check the grade before you offer it there.
Reputable buyers rarely pay 100% before inspection. If a "buyer" asks you to pay for a certificate, an import permit or a registration first, stop. See upfront fee scams.
Post a selling offer with the grade, tonnage, loading port, photos and price. You can price as a % of LME on the Cu content, LME − US$/t, LME ± %, a fixed price, or open to offers. Listings are checked for fraud signs and stay live 90 days. Buyers ask for an introduction and you choose who to talk to. Copper Supply takes no commission.

Millberry is a trade name for clean, bare, unalloyed copper wire scrap, usually 99% copper or better. It is close to the ISRI grades Barley (bare bright wire) and Berry (No. 1 copper wire). Ask the seller which grade they mean and test it.
As a percentage of the LME or a discount per tonne below it. Clean bare bright wire sells close to the LME. The grade, location, freight and payment terms move the price.
Copper refineries, rod mills, brass mills and scrap traders. India, China, South East Asia, South Korea and Japan are large markets. China only accepts copper scrap that meets its standard for recycled copper raw materials.
Check the company in its official registry, look at the yard on a map, and ask for a live video of the actual lot. Use pre-shipment inspection and start with one container. A price far below the LME and a demand for full payment before loading are the most common scam signs.

Typical millberry copper scrap specification
Clean bare bright wire can be very pure, but scrap is not certified like cathode, and many offers that say 99.99% are untested or fake. Ask for an independent assay and inspection. Treat the number as a claim until it is tested.
Indian importers of metal scrap need a pre-shipment inspection certificate (PSIC) from an approved inspection agency, along with the bill of lading, invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Check the current rules with your customs agent, as they can change.
The most expensive copper scams don't sell fake copper. They sell fees: insurance bonds, release charges and "compliance" payments before a cargo that never existed.
